Inventory Control Clerk

**_POSITION SUMMARY:_** The Inventory Control Clerk performs data entry and clerical duties for the manufacturing plant.
**_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:_**
+ Analyzes and summarizes numerical information and critically examine for accuracy.
+ Performs administrative functions such as data entry, filing, and maintaining detailed records.
+ Inputs and accesses inventory data through a computerized management information system.
+ Checks the accuracy of computer printouts, reports, and calculations. Ensures that work is carried out to specification.
+ Compiles, classifies, collates, and organizes information. Maintains electronic, paper records and reports.
+ Processes parts and trailer distribution orders for shipments to the company boat plants.
+ Assists in cycle counts
+ Fills in as a back-up plant scheduler.
+ ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
**_EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:_**
+ Minimum Degree Required: High School or equivalent
+ Preferred Degree: Associates degree in business related field
+ Experience: Minimum of 1 year in general clerical and inventory record keeping experience preferred.
**_KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:_**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word)
+ Basic understanding of accounting practices and principles
+ Strong verbal and written skills
+ Strong organization skills
+ Detail oriented – strong attention to detail
+ Dependable
+ Team oriented
**_PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:_**
Regularly: Computer Work, walking, sitting
Occasionally: Standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
**_INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT_** :
Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
