**Inventory Control Coordinator** Supply Chain & Logistics Redwood City , CA, US Pay Rate Low: 25 | Pay Rate High: 25 + Added - 19/12/2024 Apply for Job The Inventory Specialist is responsible for coordinating inventory flow, managing receiving and put-away processes, and ensuring accurate tracking and documentation. Key tasks include handling freight claims, cycle counts, damaged materials, and vendor returns, while maintaining compliance with facility metrics and safety standards. You'll collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and aged inventory challenges. **Shift:** 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM **Pay Rate:** $25/hour **Job Responsibilities:** + Coordinate and oversee the flow of inventory. + File and follow up on freight claims, back orders, and cycle counts. + Adjust transfers and ensure proper inventory tracking. + Track and report damaged materials, aged inventory, and quarantined items. + Process shipments, including preparation and organization of all applicable documents. + Maintain accurate filing systems for all records and paperwork. + Work toward achieving key cycle counting metrics and facility goals. + Handle vendor material returns and issue credit memos for product and container returns. + Manage tote tracking and collaborate with purchasing on aged inventory issues. + Resolve issues related to mis-shipments, damaged goods, and receipt errors. + Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and incorrect deliveries. **Requirements:** + High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus. + At least 2 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or a similar field. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Proficiency with inventory management software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
