Job Description/Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of production component inventories by conducting daily cycle counts, updating company systems, and understanding root causes for variances.

 

Ensure proper systemic set up of item data for proper inventory control and accounting/valuation working with Cost Accounting and Data Integrity Specialist. Analyze inventory reporting trends and develop counter measures to drive inventory performance.Execute plans to optimize inventory levels giving appropriate consideration to the plant customer service goals. Make recommendations for optimal order quantities and inventory targets.  Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure system inventory accuracy and make recommendations for improvement. Investigate inventory discrepancies and correct errors.Continually seek ways to improve performance as measured by Key Performance Indicators. Participate in process improvements related to receiving and accuracy of components. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.Understand and comply with safety requirements of position; keep safety top of mind at all times and prevent co-workers from working unsafely. Immediately report all safety concerns and incidents. Participate in safety inspections and accident investigations. Keep workplace clean and free of debris at all times.Utilize PDS system to manage performance improvement and to improve business results.Assist DC leadership in execution of identified action plans based on feedback received from BPTWS. Qualifications/Requirements MUSTMust be at least 18 years oldHigh School diploma or GED equivalentDemonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directedAbility to quickly learn new systems/processesWorking knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systemsStrong planning and organizational skillsExcellent listening, presentation and communication skillsPREFERREDAssociates degree in a business related field3 years Experience with inventory control, perpetual inventory and budget process.
