Inventory Control Lead - 2nd Shift

Owens & Minor teammate benefits include: + Medical, dental, and vision insurance, available on first working day + 401(k), eligibility after one year of service + Employee stock purchase plan + Tuition reimbursement The anticipated pay rate $24 an hour Shift Monday- Friday 2pm- 10:30pm plus mandatory overtime POSITION SUMMARY The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for the execution of prescribed tasks and the assignment of tasks to Inventory Control and Coordinators to ensure completion per published policy. The Lead is responsible for ensuring warehouse optimization and efficient warehouse management system settings. The Lead is also responsible for reviewing the Inventory Control Policy, completing all training, and adhering to the published policy and related procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Provides guidance to Inventory Control Specialists and Inventory Control Cycle Counters on the execution of inventory control tasks. 2. Creates and maintains efficient and accurate DC‐specific inventory procedures, consistent with company policy and procedure. 3. Establishes and maintains an operationally efficient and accurate cycle count strategy. 4. Ensures on‐going integrity of high risk sku cycle count execution, frequency, and results review. Elevates issues as required. 5. Reviews exceptions and errors, reporting material exceptions to Distribution Center and Finance management, as appropriate. 6. Executes the published warehouse optimization program which ensures that product is available in the most operationally efficient warehouse locations. 7. Manages product to avoid instances of damage or expiration. As necessary, determines appropriate disposition of inventory, including any possible avenues for recoup of cost of goods. 8. Manages activities pertinent to Proactive Cycle Count Program execution, including variance root cause analysis and permanent corrective action. Coordinates audit activities specific to on‐site observation. 9. Coordinates all physical inventory warehouse preparation and cutoff activities as required by PI Instruction documentation. Manage system requirements and control desk functions, resolve variances, and perform all final reconciliation requirements. 10. Qualifies to execute all essential job functions of an Inventory Control Specialist. Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred 2. Five years of working experience required 3.
