Seacoast, a GCG Company, is currently hiring an Inventory Control Manager to join our tight knit team in Chesapeake, VA! In this role, you will be responsible for operating spooling machines, inventory control, and assisting with general warehouse duties as needed.

Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (occasional weekend work is required if necessary)

What You'll Do

Develop, implement, and manage inventory control procedures and processes from start to finish Oversee physical inventory including audits, cycle counts, tracking inventory, and comparing physical inventory to ERP reportsReconcile system errors, complete root cause analysis, and create inventory reports to present to managers Work directly with customers and other departments to address and resolve inventory discrepanciesIdentify and implement process enhancements to streamline inventory management, reduce operational costs, and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and product rotationLead a team of two associates, performing manager duties such as training, continuous improvement, employee development, and corrective measuresAnalyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvementPerform additional responsibilities as needed

 

What You'll Bring

High School diploma or GED equivalent requiredAt least 2 years of warehouse inventory management experience requiredSit down forklift experience requiredERP experience required (Oracle experience a plus)Proficiency with computers and MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, etc) requiredExperience with root cause analysis and implementing process improvementsProven track record of managing inventory from receipt to shipment Experience in a manufacturing or industrial settingMust be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbs
