Inventory Control Spec
Job Details Description Rate: $18-$20hr based on experience

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

Schedule and conduct cycle count activities as directed. Trouble-shoot, understand and resolve cycle count errors. Partner with floor Supervision and Management during investigations to understand root causes Create and monitor an effective and efficient space utilization plan. Maintain adequate storage for on-site inventory. Train assigned staff on proper inventory and record-keeping procedures. Monitor warehouse capacity to ensure utilization of space and advise management on overflow of goods Conduct monthly review of inventory records with an emphasis on identification, explanation, and reconciliation of trends and variances as required. Works with the Distribution Center Manager to coordinate and conduct accurate and complete physical inventory counts of finished goods; helps to investigate and clarify discrepancies. Check/verify/Audit outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality. Collaborate with Leadership to ensure awareness and seek assistance on issues that negatively impact production efforts/expectations. Develop and document processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution; maintain accurate and detailed records. Participates in and may occasionally lead continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities to improve profitability, reliability and overall product performance. Work with receiving to inspect inventory and advise on best storage practices for inventory separation and packaging to ship. Works in unison with management team members to achieve the organization’s strategic and financial goals. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required Technical degree preferred  1+ years’ experience in inventory management or related field Experience with Prophet21 or Similar ERPs tools Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational and time-management skills Self-starter and strong written and verbal communication skills
