Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing and medical device industry. This role will be responsible for overseeing the accurate tracking and management of inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that all products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, inventory control systems, and will be knowledgeable about the regulations and standards applicable to medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production and distribution. Perform regular inventory counts (including physical and cycle counts) and reconcile discrepancies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for medical device inventory management, including FDA and ISO standards. Coordinate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Develop and maintain inventory management reports, providing insights into stock trends, shortages, and excess stock. Implement and improve inventory control processes, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains. Track and manage the movement of goods across different stages of production, storage, and distribution. Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet quality standards before shipment. Handle the proper storage and rotation of inventory, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. Train and guide team members on inventory control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. 2+ years of experience in inventory control, preferably in the manufacturing or medical device industry. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP, SAP, or similar platforms). Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, ISO 13485, and cGMP. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with barcode scanning systems and RFID technology. Certification in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., APICS, ISM) is a plus.
