Job Description

Core Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

Create and maintain efficient and accurate inventory management procedures, consistent with company policy and procedure.  Safeguard inventory assets to facilitate shortage detection.Initiate and maintain an efficient cycle count strategy.  Make system adjustments as required and analyze results of counts to initiate permanent corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of all audits, counts, and adjustments.  Confirm completion of cycle count activity daily.Establish, maintain, and execute slotting programs using available tools (e.g., Tecsys).Determine disposition of damaged and/or expired product, including any possible recoup.Provide timely and accurate responses to Customer Service and Purchasing initiated cycle count requests.Ensure that customer returned products are saleable. 

Required Skills, Abilities and Experience:

Requires a demonstrated knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices. Ability to demonstrate end-user level skills in mathematics, personal and mainframe computers, and related application is required.  Interpersonal communication skills and analytical ability are important.Must be highly organized and attention to detail is a must.  Teammate must be able to identify errors to the single digit or letter.Reach lift, order picker lift, computer, RF unit, copier, inventory reports, accounts payable invoices, purchase orders, catalogs, printer, and manuals. Able to coach and work with diverse teammates with various skill levels and experience.Attendance records will be reviewed for all internal candidates. No environmental hazards indicated for this classification, inside working conditions.Medium Work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
