Location: Rochester, NY
Shift: 6am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri, some overtime may be required)
Pay: $19.00/hr
Duration: This is one year contract position with a possibility of being temp to hire.
Position Details:
This Inventory Control Specialist will work in the Shipping & Receiving warehouse of a manufacturing facility that holds all materials needed for production. Work includes verifying and keeping records on inventory of parts, cycle counts, accuracy of data, process adjustments and generate documentation.
Position Responsibilities:
Complete and process cycle counts for production parts and complete adjustments to inventory as needed.Work within SAPGenerate Cycle Count DocumentationComplete Daily Cycle CountsUnderstand the complexities of obtaining an accurate countTrouble shoot inventory inaccuraciesRead/react to e-mails in a timely fashionProcess Stock Adjustments (including transfer tickets)Maintain/file Cycle Count / Stock Adjustment DataInteract with Inventory Managers, Buyers, Finance, Managers, and others dailyInteract with internal/external auditorsUse escalation when needed.
Qualifications for Success:
High School Diploma or GEDAbility to lift boxes 10-40 lbs consistentlySome inventory control experience. A prior history of accurately counting and posting accurate numbers. Great customer service skills (ability to interact with all customers)Good communication Skills; both written and verbal Must be able to take direction / instruction / coachingMaintain high level of quality
Desired Skills:
Forklift License (sit down & stand up)Ability to multi-task and be extremely flexibleMS Word and Excel skillsUse of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).Inventory Management systems (specifically SAP)
