*Travel Required: Houston, TX to Magnolia, TX*

Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)

Department: Inventory Control

Position Summary                                                                                                                

Will be responsible for daily cycle counts of product, ensuring accuracy of inventory records, investigating warehouse discrepancies, and performing quality audits of warehouse processes. The selected candidate should have the ability to work both in a team orientated environment as well as independently. This role will require strong attention to detail and meticulous accuracy.  The ideal candidate must possess a high degree of flexibility, the ability to competently respond to direction and meet scheduling demands, and the ability to satisfy physical demands of the position.  Applicants for this position must be extremely safety conscious. Prior inventory experience is preferred.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory locationsUse of various software to include the Microsoft Operating system, Avante ERP and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and WordFrequent lifting, bending, and pullingOperation of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacksClear and professional communication with leadership, and internal/external customersOccasional operation of hand toolsAssist where needed as directed by the Inventory or Warehouse Supervisors

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalentDriven and self-motivated individualWork experience in inventory control is strongly preferredHigh degree of organizational/analytical skillsAbility to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demandTeam player with a positive communication styleAbility to stand for long periods of time in performance of job functionsMust be able to lift 50 lbs. unassistedKnowledge of Microsoft Office and prior ERP experience preferredProven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphereStrong verbal and written communication skillsRole model for high standards of professionalismResults-oriented and driven work styleKnowledge of warehouse operations
