Inventory Coordinator
Job Summary 

Establishes and maintains vendor relationships to ensure adequate supplies for plant operations on a cost effective basis Identifies total cost savings, quality enhancement opportunities and provides supervision for the shipping & receiving department.

Position Responsibilities

Work in a safe manner to help maintain an accident free workplace.Establish and maintain satisfactory vendor relations in order to ensure there are adequate supplies for the plant operation on a cost-effective basis.Observe all EHS rules, including housekeeping; participate in safety trainings and audits.  Proactively communicate and address safety concerns/risks.Develop purchasing systems and procedures to generate adequate data to assess costs (i.e. purchase price report), vendor/supplier effectiveness (i.e. customer return data) and other operating data that may be required to assess operation effectiveness.Maintain a master purchasing procedure to ensure all materials & supplies has the proper documentation for incoming or outgoing deliveries.Work with suppliers to identify cost savings and quality enhancement opportunities, to continue our status as the lowest cost, highest quality microwave-packaging supplier.Organize the stockroom in order to accomplish effective inventory control, material flow, cost control and minimal damage to materials.Serve as a team member to identify & recommend material cost savings, develop systems in conjunction with the daily operations team to identify quality or efficiency opportunities and communicate this to the suppliers. Support business opportunities through a timely procurement of new materials that may lead to new markets or product applications.Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum one year work experience in manufacturing/warehouse positionExcellent verbal & written/communication skillsAbility to use critical thinking to plan, problem solve and make decisionsExcellent project planning and time management skillsAbility to react positively to change.Must be a team player and support management decisions with a related ability to effectively collaborate with others.Demonstrate positive leadership. Computer skills: Purchasing system, Excel, Word, E-Mail, InternetAbility to work full time and travel as needed

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. Compensation: 

Pay Range:$49,000-$65,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
