We are seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our team at the Lethbridge, Alberta Canada location.
What You Will Do:
Maintain inventory accuracyExecute R3 transactions and daily logistical needs by working with production employees, supervisors, and management in maintaining inventory accuracy, whilce resolving inventory discrepancies when applicableCollaborates across all company functions and stakeholders to develop, maintain and execute a supply plan that balances demand requirements with our capacity and inventory strategyFacilitates product planning from raw/direct material sourcing to finished product supply. End to end inventory managementAnticipate and identifies potential challenges to the supply plan and develops contingency plans to ensure risk mitigationMaintains transactional accuracy including timely Enterprise System updates, communication and exception management to drive better decision making, escalating issues for resolution as necessaryCapture, update, communicate with related people and develop corrective actions when neededTracks key performance metrics, ensures accountability and ownership of inputs/outputs to the production scheduleDuties and responsibilities will evolve throughout the year.Leads continuous improvement initiatives and serves as primary focal point for all activities impacting planning and schedulingOther duties as assignedEducation:
You have your High School Diploma or equivalentWhat Skills You Need:
You possess a minimum of one (1) year experience in shipping, transportation, inventory management, and logistics experience within a production agriculture or plant operations You have a strong understanding of inventory management’s best practicesYou are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting You are comfortable with technology and possess an excellent computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required You have high diligence can multitask, maintain an organized workplace and excellent critical thinking skillsYou have a valid US Driver’s License Willing and able to go out on the floor and capture inventory information as needed (this will be required if no staff are available to supply the information required)You possess good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers You uphold health and safety to the highest standard! You consistently help others and demonstrate adherence to safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every dayYou understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps us viable and are willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime hours, which include nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demandWhat Makes You Stand Out:
Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Agriculture, Maintenance, Logistics, or related fieldThree (3) to four (4) years of shipping, transportation, inventory management, and logistics experience in a production agriculture or plant operations environmentIntermediate level skills with inventory management software, such as SAP/R3Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as: 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized WorkWork Authorization and Relocation:
