The purpose of this role is to coordinate weekly production schedules with our manufacturing sites while ensuring proper maintenance of inventories, minimizing cost to our businesses.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a scheduler or similar supply chain role required.Customer service experience preferred.Production scheduling experience preferred.Stable work history within an office environment required.JOB DUTIES:Customer Service:
Receives and manages sales orders from customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner.Manage customer questions/concerns such as:Verifying status of orders in process with shipping resources.Troubleshooting situations as they arise between customers and shipping resources ensuring orders are shipped and received in a timely manner.Inputs customer orders in the computer system, processing in an accurate and thorough manner.Coordinate shipment of orders with the logistics and export department, either foreign or domestic, to ensure timely delivery and availability of products.Coordinates/schedules production requirements for the off-site plants weekly. Responsible for inventory management (space capabilities, proper levels, correct label or SKUs, etc.).Working knowledge of generated reports consisting of, but not limited to, the following:Warehouse/Plant InventoryOpen Order (Customer Requirements) ReportSales ReportsProcess purchase orders for production at co-packers. Coordinate all materials to be shipped to co-packers for production and packaging.Pick lots, process orders and supply Bill of Lading to outside warehouses for outbound shipments.Supply Bill of Lading to co-packers for outbound shipments.All other duties as assigned.Inventory Coordinator:
Maximize volume and pricing by working closely with management & the sales team.Provide on-going communication with directors and regional sales managers.Participate in, and occasionally lead, monthly overviews and general market update meetings with management.Develop key relationships with management, sales team and customers.Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the industry, customers and products.Responsible for ordering packaging supplies for products manufactured at co-packers.All other duties assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Ability to courteously answer the telephone in a calm and professional manner.Basic knowledge of computer hardware and a variety of software packages.Ability to learn terminology used in the food processing industry.Ability to learn terminology used in the shipping industry ensuring effective communications as situations arise.Ability to learn the products manufactured by the companies and communicates accurate information regarding those products to customers.Ability to maintain customer and company confidential information.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Ability to effectively communicate with customers, shipping companies, and co-workers.Ability to operate required office equipment such as calculator, typewriter, computer, fax, copier, etc.Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity.Ability to work from oral and written communications.Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work daily and overtime as required.Ability to assist in other work related areas as required.Ability to comply with all work related deadlines.Ability to assist other staff members with special or ongoing projects as directed.Ability to travel as necessary.BASIC MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:This job requires the mental capabilities to accurately receive customer orders and utilize sequential thinking in completing the order-shipment process. Additionally, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with a variety of people are required to accomplish job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPOSURES:General office working conditions exist, including some periods of extended computer work and extended hours as necessary.
