We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Cost Accountant in Warrensburg, Missouri. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage, analyze, and optimize our clients inventory processes and transactions. The role involves processing inventory movements, conducting variance analysis, performing stock audits, preparing reports, and working with teams to enhance inventory management. Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process daily inventory transactions in ERP systems
• Conduct regular analysis of stock counts, movements, and variances, and prepare corresponding reports
• Execute reconciliations, journal entries, and end-of-month accounting activities
• Identify potential risks, trends, and system errors, and propose operational improvements
• Perform physical audits of inventory, cycle counts, and ensure data accuracy
• Monitor slow-moving inventory and assist in financial audits
• Utilize your skills in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Supply Chain Strategy to optimize inventory management
• Implement Automated Inventory strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as an Inventory Cost Accountant.
• Proven expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting.
• Proficiency in Supply Chain Strategy.
• Demonstrable experience with Automated Inventory systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage large, multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrable understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
