INVENTORY CYCLE COUNTER
Responsibilities- Perform regular cycle counts of inventory in specific warehouse locations.\n- Verify physical stock against system records (Warehouse Management Systems - WMS) to identify discrepancies.\n- Investigate and reconcile differences between physical stock and system records.\n- Update inventory records in the system to reflect actual stock levels after counting. \n- Document any inventory discrepancies, damages, or missing items during the cycle count.\n- Prepare reports for inventory supervisors on identified variances and actions taken to resolve them. Ensure Stock Accuracy\n- Regularly check product labeling, bin locations, and product conditions to ensure proper stock handling.\n- Maintain accurate stock levels by regularly verifying items stored in the warehouse.\n- Support external and internal auditors during inventory audits by providing accurate data and resolving discrepancies.\n- Conduct audits on high-value or fast-moving products to ensure accuracy.\n- Support the warehouse team in updating stock levels in the system.\n- Help with inventory rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and check expiry dates for products that require this.\n- Physical Counts of Specific Items • Conduct physical counts for specific items or high-value inventory as needed.\n- Monitor stock movements and report to the inventory team any unusual changes in stock levels.Requirements- Proficient in counting and simple calculations required for inventory verification and reconciliation.\n- Familiarity with Inventory Management Systems\n- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or other inventory tracking software to record and verify stock counts.\n- Ability to use handheld scanners or devices to update stock records.\n- Problem-Solving Skills • Able to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.\n- Analytical skills to investigate and report the causes of inventory variances.\n- Computer literate
