Avantor is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Inventory Management Associate to join the dynamic team in Leuven. This role doesn’t require a scientific background. Maybe you are working in logistics, hospitality or retail but have an interest in science. This could be your opportunity to transition your career into the laboratory world!

This full-time position is based at our customer site, UCB, in Heverlee. You’ll start with a six-month temporary contract, transferred into a permanent one after a successful evaluation. We offer a competitive salary along with a wide range of benefits including a performance bonus, meal vouchers, pension plan, health insurance, and a 13th month salary.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, flexible start time between 07:30 and - 9:00 and finish time as off 16:00

The team 

As part of a larger team of 17 associates, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work independently at the Heverlee site while collaborating closely with our customer. This team is part of our department Lab and Product Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we’re looking for 

Experience:

Experience in fast-paced environments (e.g., production, logistics, hospitality, or retail) is a valuable asset.

Preferred qualifications:

Proficient in MS Office with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systemsFluent communication skills in English; good command of French (Level B2) is a plusStrong customer-oriented approach, outgoing and independentFlexible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented

Maintain stock levels by counting stock, placing orders, and tracking deliveriesManage incoming goods by receiving, scanning, registrering and distributing them on-site, ensuring lab supplies are always available for scientistsHandle returned goods and perform damage checksMaintain accurate records in the inventory software system to keep information up-to-dateContribute to a clean and organized lab environment by cleaning lab equipment and benchesSupport Analysts by preparing solutions and calibrating lab equipment
