INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will perform daily physical inventory operations which include planning, coordinating, and evaluating actions required to support specified schedules and missions. You will review and enter data into multiple databases (i.e. ERP) and local excel spreadsheets. You will maintain inventory control records and develop methods for achieving quality standards. You will analyze data for trends and areas that have repeat discrepancies and make recommendations for corrective action to prevent reoccurrence. You will perform periodic quality control studies of all logistical supply functions to determine the efficiency and accuracy of operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of inventory management policies, procedures, and regulations and providing psychical inventory management support. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Performing physical inventories of materials by counting or surveying items and verifying stock numbers, invoices, and quantities; 2) Generating routine reports to identify trends and recommendations for process improvements; 3) Conducting causative research for information regarding supply transactions; and 4) Maintaining inventory records and collecting data to prepare reports.
