Leidos’ Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) operation is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist in Vista, CA to join our team. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology.  Our team produces a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.  

Leidos is looking for an Inventory Management Specialist to support our company’s warehouse operations. You will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and perform various warehouse activities.

Primary Responsibilities

Uses Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for transacting material out of inventory and perform location transfersPerforms a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties when neededPull and complete work orders to support the production departmentEnsure inventory is put away in the correct row, shelf, bin locationsPerform daily cycle countsTransfer material between warehouses utilizing company truckAbility to work independently and safely                                                                                                                                                                                                         Monitor and report any missing or lost inventoryCommunicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkersMaintain accurate records and assist in inventory controlComply with procedures, rules and regulationsOperate and perform preventative maintenance on forkliftsKeep a clean and safe working environment

Basic Qualifications

1+ years’ experience as receiving clerk or similar warehouse positionHigh school diploma or equivalentMust have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).Working knowledge of computer programs (ERP and/or warehouse management system) for entering dataAbility to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipmentExcellent math and recording abilitiesExcellent organizational skillsGreat communication and interpersonal abilitiesKeen eye for detailMust be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. Must be able to push/pull 200 lbs. Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility. Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications 

3+ years of inventory management/warehouse experience Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook. Familiarity with ERP programs would be a distinct advantage

Pay Range:Pay Range $33,150.00 - $59,925.00
