Inventory Manager, Amazon Robotics

The Robotics Manufacturing & Technical Operations (RMTO) team is seeking an Inventory Manager to optimize inventory performance through data-driven strategies and cross-functional collaboration to support high volume manufacturing and emerging products and technology. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining the ABC/XYZ classification system, oversee cycle counting, identify and mitigate E&O, and use forecasting to align inventory with demand and supply requirements. By driving process improvements and generating actionable insights, the Inventory Manager ensures the company's inventory is efficiently managed to support business objectives.This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of material management processes.


Key job responsibilities
* Conduct regular analysis to categorize inventory based on importance and usage patterns
* Develop and maintain the ABC/XYZ system to enable effective inventory management strategies
* Recommend appropriate stock levels, safety stock, and replenishment plans for each category
* Oversee the cycle count process to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records
* Develop and implement count procedures, analyze results, and address discrepancies
* Provide training and support to the material team on proper cycle counting techniques
* Monitor inventory to identify slow-moving or obsolete items
* Collaborate cross-functionally to develop strategies for managing Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory
* Maintain accurate E&O records and report on the financial impact
* Analyze data to develop and refine replenishment strategies based on demand, lead times, and forecasts
* Utilize modeling to determine optimal stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock
* Align inventory with customer demand and supply chain requirements
* Generate regular reports, identify trends, and present findings to stakeholders
* Participate in inventory budgeting and monitor costs like holding, obsolescence, and shrinkage
