POSITION SUMMARY
As the Inventory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s operations by overseeing and optimizing inventory management in supporting the company’s customer delivery and financial KPI’s.  You will possess a deep understanding of inventory control and management, data analysis, warehousing, manufacturing, purchasing/procurement, and demand planning to create collaborative relationships with the ability to adopt new technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - TOP 4 ACTIONS FOR POSITION
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.  


1 Inventory Optimization (25%):  
•    Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory across multiple sites, balancing the need for sufficient stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
•    Conduct regular reviews and adjustments to stocking models based on changing demand patterns to maintain optimal inventory levels.
•    Responsible for identifying, calculating, and managing Safety Stock levels.

2.    Analysis (40%):
•    Analyze inventory data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
•    Utilize and perform data analysis to identify trends and patterns ensuring optimal inventory levels. 
•    Utilize and perform data analysis to identify trends and patterns to reduce slow moving and no activity inventory, minimize stockouts and overstock situations. 
•    Support stockout mitigation activities by performing analysis to project stockout period and analysis to identify inventory transfers from other plants.

3.    KPI Implementation (10%):
•    Define and establish Key Performance Metrics (KPI’s) to measure inventory performance such as, but not limited to, inventory turn rates, slow moving inventory, no activity inventory, aging inventory, obsolete inventory, stockout rates, safety stock violation rates.
•    Monitor KPI’s regularly and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as required. 

4.    Collaboration (25%)
•     Collaborate with multiple departments such as, but not limited to, Demand Planning, Procurement, Purchasing, Product Management, Manufacturing, Transfer Coordinators, and Finance.
•     Participate in regular meetings and discussions to share insights, provide updates on inventory status, and address any issues or challenges that may arise.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
•    Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain roles, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.  3-5 years of leadership experience 
•    Extremely knowledgeable of inventory control and management principles and theory, inventory valuations methods, safety stock calculation methods, and inventory management best practices.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
•    Proficient in inventory control and management techniques 
•    Proficient in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft excel for data analysis and reporting.
•    Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
•    Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
•    Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Travel Requirement:  
•     Must be able to travel up to 25%.   

Physical Requirements:  
•    Must pass pre-employment physical.  
•    Lift:   Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.  
•    Push/Pull:  Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds.   
•    Stand:  Must be able to stand 75% of the day. 
•    Sitting:  Must be able to sit 75% of the day. 
•    Twisting/Bending:  Must be able to twist/bend 20% of the day.  
•    Squatting, Climbing and/or Crawling:  Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 20% of the day.
