Understand and keep up-to-date and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect used vehicle sales.Monitor customer and market analyses to determine what customers want to purchase.Maintain a used vehicle inventory that features a variety of colors, models, and equipment.Adhere to standards for appraising and appraise all incoming used vehicles.Plan and control the display of used vehicles. Rearrange entire used inventory at least once/wk.Maintain online inventory listing and advertising standards for both new and used.Utilize online vehicle sourcing programs to sustain and grow inventory turn rate.Ensure vehicles are on the lot by the 3rd day of the deal clearing F&I or been delivered.Walk the lot within 30 minutes of shift every day.Take into consideration the attitude of Sales People regarding used car inventory.Recommend to the GSM or GM the new car inventory to be carried.Develop, implement and monitor the use of a prospecting program.Develop, implement and monitor the use of a customer and prospect follow-up program. Ensure that the program is being followed and be involved by contacting customers and prospects according to the program guidelines.Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotionsQUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Three - five years of used vehicle sales experience. Broad knowledge of all types of vehicles. Management experience preferred. Valid in-state driver’s license. Professional personal appearance. Excellent communication and managerial skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works both indoors and out, moving about the dealership lot and the closing office to communicate with sales people and customers. Will spend time in the new vehicle department, service department, and body shop. Will be required to attend an auction at least once per week. Weekend, evening, and holiday hours will be required. May go on test drives.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed at a desk in an office setting .
