Inventory Operations Supervisor

Job Purpose

This position will be primarily responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to support the production lines in the STG lines of business.

Following all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000. Interacting with all levels of personnel, both internal and external to EnerSys. Supervising locally-owned responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, local regulations, OSHA, and EPA requirements pertaining to the facility. Working with the office/warehouse employees to manage daily, weekly, and monthly inventory audits and goals. Supervising, hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations of direct reports. Providing support, direction, and coaching to subordinate employees in the areas of disciplinary action and problem resolution. Maintaining inventory control procedures, such as, but not limited to, physical inventory cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies as required. Maintaining all corporate metrics related to the movac, customer service, on-time delivery, and budgets. Implementing change, improving processes, leading teams, operations planning, and general inventory ownership. Working alongside other similar roles within a cohesive team that provides backup support to all inventory movements during use of PTO or any potential disruption. Closely managing inventory, inventory rotation, and inventory accuracy through direct reports' actions. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma. Must have computer skills using Microsoft Office. Previous industry experience. 3-5 years proven inventory management experience

Preferred Qualifications

 A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Material Management

General Job Requirements This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety. This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
