Summary

RNDC is looking for a leader, a self-starter and team player who will be responsible for managing an inventory for a specified group of suppliers or locations. This position is focused on maximizing gross margin, optimizing service levels, and reducing inventory carrying costs. They will be responsible for all inventory planning processes including resolving demand exceptions, procurement, and creating inventory plans to support both 13-week and 18-month planning horizons. The role will work directly with suppliers, when necessary, to resolve issues throughout the RNDC network. They will support key initiatives from the Supplier Business Development teams and sales, provide guidance on optimal supply chain and inventory plans to achieve business objectives. 

 

In this role, you will Create/approve purchase orders. Maintain lead times, buying multiples, minimum order quantities and other master data to drive operationally efficient and cost-effective inventory.  Develop integrated plans and monitor KPIs to safeguard uninterrupted supply of products. KPI’s include but are not limited to days inventory on hand, inventory turns, supplier performance, inventory dollars, aged inventory, gross margin return on inventory.  Manage stakeholder relationships with inventory planning and drive adoption of the S&OP process. Monitor product life cycle changes and mitigate risks of excess and aged/obsolete inventory.  Review network capacity planning processes to identify demand and supply imbalances and create recommendations to resolve.  Establish and maintain safety stock targets for each SKU as well as monitor adherence to those targets and provide visibility to supply chain leadership team as needed.  Utilize appropriate communication and escalation techniques to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner. Develop and implement programs to optimize inventory turns and improve working capital performance.  Initiate the development of vendor strategies, processes, and operational requirements that improve service and reduce working capital requirements.
