Position Purpose:
The Inventory Planning Operations Lead exists to ensure the inventory planning team is prepared to deliver on product changes in the form of new product development and introduction efforts (NPD/I), material cost reductions (MCRs), and general design changes. This role serves as the inventory planning team representative in all efforts related to product and supply changes. Furthermore, the Inventory Planning Operations Lead exists to define and optimize inventory planning processes inclusive of both day-to-day planning tasks and overall supply chain flow end-to-end.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead change projects inclusive of developing transition plans (get-in/get-out) including inventory strategy, planning system settings, timeline of key milestones and hand-off plan to planning teamServe as inventory planning representative in all New Product Development/Introduction and Material Cost Reduction effortsLead completion of product change stage gate deliverable for supply chainOwn the definition, documentation and implementation of planning best practices for all inventory planning tasksLead execution of planning optimization road mapMeasures inventory planning productivity through owning the creation & maintenance of inventory planning team scorecardDevelop, document and inspect promotion event inventory planning strategiesLead creation & maintenance of complete, end-to-end supply chain flow mapDevelop and document inventory category specific supply strategiesCreate training and process documentation that supports onboarding of new team members on the inventory planning teamKey Performance Indicators:
Product changes executed on-time and on-plan with respect to initial inventory levels and customer lead-time expectationsInventory turnover & valueMaterial obsolescencePosition Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain related roles preferably in supply chains that are direct to end customer. Inventory planning experience preferred.Experience in leading new product development & introduction effortsBachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or similar field requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
