This is complex inventory and property management support services requiring a solid knowledge of inventory and property management principles and techniques. Positions in this classification provide office and administrative support for procuring, auditing, and billing for software, hardware, and copiers for State Agencies. This position requires knowledge of inventory management best practices and will require having the ability to identify computer hardware. Responsibilities require independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard operating procedures. This is a 100% on-site position located in Augusta, Maine. There is no remote work available for this position. The State of Maine does not offer moving or relocation services. REPRESENTATIVE TASKS: + Receive vendor orders into inventory + Document receipt of products on procurements + Reconcile purchase orders + Transact inventory items to on-site teams for customer orders + Calculate costs of products and perform billing actions + Perform daily inventory cycle counts + Sort and process product returns from on-site teams + Clean and refurbish products for return to stock + Prepare products for delivery to surplus property for resale + Delivery of customer orders and stock orders to on-site teams + Organize and rotate inventory for ease of count and consumption + Pickup of return orders from on-site teams + Monitor vehicle health and usage, and schedule all appointments for maintenance KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: + Valid State of Maine drivers license with a clean driving record + Ability to safely lift 50 pounds between floor and standard counter height with or without reasonable accommodations. + Ability to perform work requiring lifting and/or physical exertion may be required. + Knowledge of inventory methods and practices. + Knowledge of purchasing principles and practices. + Knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and business English. + Ability to query for information. + Ability to make intermediate mathematical calculations. + Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel. + Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word. + Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Outlook. + Knowledge and ability to scan documents to organized storage. + Ability to type varied routine business correspondence from draft or original source documents to revised or final form. + Ability to organize computerized and/or manual files. + Ability to repair, service, clean, and/or maintain applicable equipment as required. + Ability to effectively resolve problems. + Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions/recommendations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training, education or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates: + 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of inventory and property management principles and practices to perform complex work in procuring or selling public wares or property and + 2) the ability to use independent decision making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. + All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Inventory and Property Assistant and Inventory and Property Associate I. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in: + Enterprise Inventory Management Systems + Inventory Management Best Practices + Identifying Computer Hardware + Enterprise Ticketing Systems The selected candidate will be required to pass the required background checks(fingerprinting may be required) as a condition of employment.
