Job Purpose & Summary:
The Inventory, Quality, and Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management (core production, NPI/Damages, cycle counts, slotting) and quality assurance (security, investigations, root cause analysis, inventory variance investigation) within the distribution center.
This position reports to the IQC Regional Director and collaborates across the supply chain network to create, develop, and improve processes and procedures to maximize operational efficiencies in collaboration with Distribution Operations, Corporate Compliance, Corporate Asset Protection, Security, Finance, and COE's. All duties are to be performed in accordance with CVS Health policies, practices, and procedures.
In addition, you will be driving the performance of assigned operational areas within a distribution center facility will be critical. This individual will also contribute to profit, expense, and customer service goal achievement as well as compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline inventory management processes and enhance efficiencyImplement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize inventory accuracy and minimize 8 wastesDrive initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory metricsStrategically manage slotting activities and projects aligned to the continuous improvement roadmapInventory Management:
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory levelsCoordinate and conduct regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations to minimize discrepanciesAnalyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savingsWork closely with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely replenishmentQuality Assurance:
Establish and enforce quality standards for incoming and outgoing products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policiesImplement quality control measures to identify and address defects or discrepancies in products, packaging, and documentation as well as in process and personnelConduct regular inspections and quality audits to assess the effectiveness of quality management systemsJoin forces with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions in line with the CVS operating systemTeam Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of inventory control and quality assurance associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedbackFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the departmentEnsure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards at all timesAsset Protection:
Manage, coordinate (in conjunction with DC Management), and control activities relating to asset protection and loss containmentOversee the implementation and management of security measures to protect company assets, reduce shrink, and ensure a safe environment for employees and vendorsBuild security and alarm systems, conduct investigations (actual and suspected), and coordinate with law enforcement agenciesPLEASE NOTE: TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR TRAINING PERIOD
Selected candidate will be required to train on-site at another distribution center for 2-4 weeks. Candidate will need to have flexibility of working hours, during initial training period.ROTATING SHIFT:
This is a rotating shift every other week: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm/ Monday-Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm with additional flexibility as needed to support the business needs.This role will support both 1st and 2nd shifts.Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, quality management, asset protection, or related roles, preferably in a distribution or logistics environmentExperience in inventory management principles, quality assurance standards, investigations, and regulatory requirementsLeadership experienceProficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications5% TravelPreferred Qualifications:
APICS CPIM or CLTD certificationSix Sigma Green Belt certificationPMP certificationLP Qualified (LPQ) or LP Certified (LPC) certificationUnderstanding of Government Regulatory expectations (OSHA, DEP, FDA)Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levelsRegular and reliable on-site attendanceExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesEducation:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field OR

The typical pay range for this role is:
$72,360.00 - $159,120.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
