PeopleReady of Pittsburgh, PA is now hiring Inventory Specialists! The Inventory & Logistics Specialist is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, shipping, receiving, kit preparation for manufacturing, data entry, physical movement of items, material disposition, and ERP tracking/management. Documentation control and record keeping are fundamental in this position to ensure the front-end operations of procurement and back-end reconciliation processes are aligned.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $40 - $40 / hour. This range is a goodfaith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated
What you'll be doing as a Inventory Specialist:
* Inventory Management of Kit parts and assembly for production.
* Provides ownership of the supply chain inventory cage.
* Receives requests for parts and issues them as applicable. Maintains records of inventory transactions.
* Conducts weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycle counts of all inventory types and maintains inventory accuracy daily.
* Maintains periodic scrap reports.
* Maintain consumables database.
* Ensure new items have proper locations within 48 hours of receipt.
* Logistics & Shipping
* Places final product and all associated components and paperwork in crates and boxes in preparation for shipping.
* Maintains count of crates available and submits procurement request for additional crates and packing supplies in time to meet shipping demands.
* Communicates instructions to checker/loaders, contracted truck drivers, and OTR carriers and execute shipping schedules, and dispatch local freight shipments.
* Creates shipping labels for paperwork received and contacts carrier to arrange shipment
* Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
* Responsible for coordination of product completion and shipments on a timely basis by logging and inventory of the shipment and keeping a running total of the shipments.
* Resolve outbound and incoming delivery issues with key stakeholders and examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
* Loading and unloading shipments.
* Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
