Position: Inventory Specialist
Shift: Evening (9pm-6am)
Pay: $20.25 plus $1.00 shift differential
Position Summary:
The distribution associate is responsible for performing a variety of inventory focused tasks on a rotated basis to support the daily goals. Inventory management through the scanning of product, and ensuring that product is labeled correctly. Support any other functions as needed in distribution.
Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaing accurate inventory, scanning product, rotating product
Follows all work safety policies and guidelines
Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns
Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Will be required to rotate to various functions within the distribution department as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous experience driving a forklift / high lift
Previous experience in an inventory control position
Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions and work in a fast paced environment
Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical
Physical Requirements:
Standing (8 hours a day or more),
Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)
Reaching overhead (up to and including 25lbs)
Operating hand held and/or mechanical machinery
Climbing stairs
Working with scissors or knives
Gripping, grasping and twisting using hands and wrists
Bending and stooping for long periods of time.
Working Conditions/Department Description:
May work in damp and cold environment
Work in Seasonal Outdoor conditions
Work with loud and noisy machinery
Work in dusty environment
Work with chemical or Fumes
Work around pungent odors
