Inventory Team Leader
Job Description SummaryThe Inventory Control Team Leader is responsible for facilitating the activities of the Inventory Control team by balancing operational, strategic, and administrative needs in order to meet the Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives of the unit. You will also guide the Inventory team to ensure production needs are met.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for engaging employees in inventory, coordinating activities in expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies between areas of production.

​Essential Responsibilities:

As the Inventory Control Team Leader, you will:

Be the main point of contact for Production and Inventory for All CBR and ITR production linesBe responsible for point of use(POU) Material replenishment aligned with Water Spiders and Uncrating team for CBR and ITR (All Kits - Elec, Mech, Inter,, Inductive, Cabinets, Mechanism, Bushings, Center Conductors, CT’s, all 2 Bin parts for CBR and ITR, Galvanizing, Active parts)Be responsible for Production disturbance (eAndon) for inventory and coordinate to resolve at earliestBe responsible for working with Kitting and material replenishment team to meet daily goals in alignment with production needs including material transactionsBe responsible for printing and organizing Kitting Picklist in SAP for All Kitted materialsBe responsible for receiving incoming material with 100% count and SAP GR, Putaway at correct location, physically and in SAPCoordinate Problem PO/delivery confirmations with purchasing teamBe responsible for Material Request Forms are completed according to demand requiredBe responsible to address and part issues from productionBe responsible to communicate work order changes to inventory personnelAttend production meeting, end of the shift meeting, Genba walk as needed to align inventory with production needsEnsure all direct labor time-sheets are completedTraining for inventory team members for inventory processes


Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Business or related field with a minimum of 3 years of Logistics, Manufacturing, Warehouse, or Inventory Control experience (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, Warehouse, or Inventory Control)Minimum of 2 years of experience with SAP


Desired Characteristics 

Ability to operate fork lifts: Propane, Stand-ups and Bendi’sAbility to look-up on-hand quantities, location, Generate Pick Lists, Cycle Counts, creating transfer requests, physical inventory counts, creating and deleting transfer ordersAbility to use or learn the use of barcode ScannersComputer Skills (Proficient in Excel, Experience with Word and Outlook, SMART Sheet, BOX)Moderate understanding of how to pull a drawing and understand the revision level and what the part looks like to be able to identify it in the warehouse or lotPrevious Team Lead experience is preferredUnderstanding of Lean manufacturing and Kaizen/improvement experience
