Primary Objective:         

Oversees and coordinates activities and personnel related to finished goods receiving, inventory accuracy and SOX compliance to support production of >300 million sft of laminate flooring annually in multi-facility, fast paced, high volume 24/7 manufacturing operation.

 

Major Function and Scope:

Oversees and coordinates the activities of Receiving and Inventory Control team members; participates in performance reviews and confers with management and/or subordinates to resolve team member issues Conducts various Inventory Management projects related to space constraints and material flows Confers with other supervisors and team members to coordinate operations, warehouse space allocation and activities within or between departments Uses multiple information systems to maintain inventory accuracy, including, but not limited to, Shop Floor Control, Locus, Excel, Word, Outlook and other shipping and warehouse management systems Confirms delivery schedules with planners and coordinates those deliveries with suppliers and transportation companies to ensure timely and accurate deliveries Ensures SOX compliance related to cycle counting of +\- $20 million of inventory in +\-8,000 locations, including reviewing/updating CPDs; ensuring all warehouse locations are accurately maintained in the WMS and cycle counted according to SOX frequency; and all required management counts/oversight, paperwork and signatures are complete for said locations Ensures SOX compliance related to multiple third party warehouses as needed Monitors consumption of raw and WIP materials used to produce 5+ million sft of laminate flooring weekly, noting discrepancies and offering permanent solutions to prevent reoccurrence Fills in for team members, including cycle counting, as needed Operates forklift, stages scrap materials, unloads trucks and generates shipping notes for satellite facilities as needed Complies with company safety rules and procedures and participates in zero landfill and housekeeping initiatives Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision Follow all established standard operating procedures Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary Perform other tasks assigned by management

 

 

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience Achieves minimum acceptable levels on Work Keys assessment tests for Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Locating Information and Reading for Information Knowledge of inventory management 1 - 3 years of lead/supervisory experience preferred 1 - 3 years of inventory experience Excellent time management skills, adequately managing one’s own time and the time of others within the department Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, and the ability to motivate, develop and direct subordinates Good written and oral communication skills Strong problem solving skills, analytical, accurate, good attention to detail Solid WMS and basic Excel experience. Ability to learn new computer systems quickly. Ability to safely operate various forklifts (15,000-20,000 lb. lifts, clamp truck, etc.) Must be able to lift 40 pounds
