Inventory Transact Controller

Work as a member of a team to manage inventory and implement policies and procedures that maintain WIP inventory accuracy including:  perform Oracle transactions as required, perform audit counts of inventory, verify accuracy of material moving within an area or between departments, investigate inventory discrepancies and perform proper transactions to resolve problem, generate documentation from Oracle or other off-line systems, containerize and deliver material as required, maintain any off-line spreadsheets or databases, keep a well-organized and visually managed work area.

Perform Oracle transactions as requiredVerify component counts using scales or hand countingConsolidate or re-distribute components into containersPerform job completions creating record of productionPerform and enter cycle countsManage excess inventory disposition by evaluating return on costs of rework, reconfiguring, or teardownManage disposition of cancelled and duplicated ordersMay require pulling and organizing material for production areaWork with store keepers or material handlers to resolve material shortages and inventory discrepanciesManage line returns and / or rework materialInvestigate inventory discrepancies and resolve using appropriate transactionsDeliver material as needed to other areas in a timely mannerCommunicate discrepancies to functional groups as neededRotate with other inventory control associates to broaden group effectiveness and to support productionMust be able to work a flexible schedule when production requirements dictatePrepare and deliver presentations as requiredCommunicate with key functional groups regarding issues:  (ie: BOM errors,  routing errors, inventory discrepancies, process errors, non-compliance with inventory control processes or limitations of transaction authority, etc.)

What You Need to Succeed:  

Applied computer knowledge and demonstrated skills on Oracle, Excel, and E-mail is required.Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently, reach, bend, and kneel when doing audit counting.Ability to communicate by reading, writing and speaking EnglishAbility to communicate with various levels within the organizationAbility to understand the flow of material within or between processesDemonstrated ability to drive process improvementGood understanding of inventory management principles within a factory environment, (ie: BOMs, job requirements, routers, etc.)Good communication, negotiation and soft skillsAbility to work effectively in a highly detailed and sometimes turbulent environment.Ability to work on the factory floor in areas where PPE is required

Compensation:

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.  

The expected Base Hourly Range: $18.10 - $28.29. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
