WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Investigator/Loss Prevention Analyst in the Security function, you will take sophisticated cases head-on through establishing proven partnerships with store and Loss Prevention leadership, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, the Investigator is responsible for assisting with a strategy to combat organized retail crime, external and internal theft across the H&M Group within the assigned market.
This hybrid role reports to our Loss Prevention Analytical Manager, USA-CA-PR and is based out of Montreal or our Toronto Support Office.

A proactive approach to resolving internal and external losses within all assigned stores through training and awarenessAbility to define problems collect data and establish facts through proper investigationsUtilize Loss prevention reporting tools to identify internal and external lossesSupports with setting goals on relevant KPIs based on analysis, resolving problems, and monitoring performance in line with USA, CA, PR Security focusesResponsible for building cases by collecting evidence using all available toolsConduct successful nonconfrontational interviews with external or internal patrons through conflict managementDevelop positive work relationship with state and local law enforcement agenciesAssist the leadership team in enforcing policies and proceduresPartnership with local Law Enforcement and Mall SecurityStay current on ORC trends in partnership with other retailers and vendorsPerform all other duties and responsibilities as required and or assigned to support the security safety and compliance for the 600+ stores in US and CanadaIdentifying and share deficiencies with Global Business PartnersInvestigates and follows up on deviating activities based on analysis, with a focus on training needs, routines, and frauds Identify and surveil fence locationsAbility to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervisionIdentifying opportunities and supplying feedback regarding tests and new initiativesCommunicate ongoing investigations to their respective Market and Area teamsKnowledge and understanding of LP technology equipment (CCTV, Burglar Alarm, Access Control, and EAS) functionalities, terminology, and capabilitiesHost periodic meetings with other retailers to discuss trends and solutions of shrinkAnalytical support and coach the Loss Prevention Analyst team globally to drive the security Loss prevention culture across the H&M GroupEstablish and maintain communication channels with the Loss Prevention Analysts within the regionPlan and organize phone conferences, workshops, and meetings together with the LPMS system ownerQualificationsAnd people who have...
College degree in criminal justice preferred or equivalent years of experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with Organized retail crime preferredStrong organization and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong professional maturity and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential informationProficiency in Microsoft applicationsValid Driver’s licenseFluency in English and FrenchAbility to travel at least 40% of the time with occasional international travelAdditional InformationWHO WE ARE
