This role involves evaluating existing and potential investment options, preparing detailed advisory notes, and developing customized monitoring reports. The Investment Analyst also supports the preparation of fiduciary statements and investment committee materials, ensuring robust investment recommendations and client satisfaction. Essential duties include the following:
Conducts original, fundamental research on all investment recommendations.Develops and maintains proprietary software for monitoring client investments and generating custom reports.Reviews and analyzes existing and potential investment options based on criteria established by the Investment Committee.Directs the writing of advisory notes for retirement funds on the “watch list” and provides actionable advice.Develops and maintains customized quarterly monitoring reports for clients, including performance data, fund ranking, asset allocation, and advisor notes.Gathers, prepares, and maintains various fiduciary statements and reports, such as Investment Policy Statements, Advisory Agreements, and Quarterly Monitoring Reports.Supports advisory team by generating investment research content.Analyzes client investment options and collects account information to create monitoring reports and statistical metrics.Prepares and maintains investment fund searches for existing and prospective clients.Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis for investment options, prepares watch list reports, and updates advisory resources.Provides support in preparing Investment Committee materials and other internal and external deliverables.Identifies and implements process improvements and efficiencies using proprietary software applications.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CFA Level 1 preferred.Four (4) years of experience in working knowledge of securities, investment planning, and manager research.Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical, data gathering, and problem resolution skills with a strong focus on accuracy .Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge in Excel.Experience with Morningstar Direct is preferred.Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.Able to sit for long periods, stoop, kneel, and lift 10-20 lbs. of files or other documents.Able to travel locally and nationally.SWBC offers*:
