Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Works with guidance and oversight from more senior team members.
Performs analysis, evaluation and recommendation of actions to be taken in response to requests for consent/approval from borrowers in connection with commercial mortgage loans held in the Nationwide general account or managed on behalf of third-party participants.
Review and interpretation of loan terms and ancillary provisions set forth in loan agreements for such commercial mortgage loans.
Financial statement analysis for borrower entities and collateral property that secure the commercial mortgage loans, as well as, review of annual property inspections.
Develop, foster and maintain positive relationships with loan correspondents and other external customers. Communicate pertinent information regarding the status of borrower requests, expected completion timelines, and required approvals (process and procedure transparency).
Collaborate and partner with the CML Due Diligence, Closing and Legal teams to draft post-closing checklists and language for asset management responsibilities, including gaining working knowledge of negotiated changes to standard loan agreement provisions.
Responsible for inputs (data integrity) of loan information into Nationwide’s loan management system (LMS) and other downstream database or website-related systems.

Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or related field
Experience: 0 to 2 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of real estate fundamentals and the legal interpretation of loan documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is desired.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
Commercial real estate experience with an emphasis in the interpretation of loan documents, analysis of operating statements
Ability to prioritize assignments in an effective manner to support both internal and external stakeholders/customers.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
