Posted 01/14/2025 Close Date: 01/21/2025 Recruiter: KARA CARMONNE Phone: (775)684-0107 Email: karacarmonne@admin.nv.gov Applications accepted for another 7 Days 1 Hrs 10 Mins The Position Under general direction, Investment Analysts in the State Treasurer's Office assist the Deputy Treasurer for Investments with executing and managing the State's investment portfolio including the investment of funds over short- and long-term periods; recommend asset allocation policies and changes; evaluate and report on external investment managers; analyze and monitor cash flow, cash allocation and asset distribution; and provide account reconciliations and prepare reports. The Nevada State Treasurer's Office is recruiting to fill an Investment Analyst 1 position in Carson City. The incumbent will be responsible for daily accounting, reconciliation, and management of the State Collateral Pool Program; management of the General Portfolio quarterly interest distribution process; and investment reconciliation and compliance procedures for various asset allocation portfolios which includes equities, fixed income, and covered call investments. The incumbent will also support the investment duties of the Investment Analyst 3 position and be responsible for the post-issuance compliance procedures on bond proceed spending. Additionally, the incumbent uses a Bloomberg Terminal and other third-party data sources to aggregate data related to various portfolios; understands portfolio metrics including Market Value, Book Value, Portfolio Yield, Weight Avg Maturity, and Effective Duration; supports the completion of ad-hoc requests related to duties with direct oversight; and communicates with outside brokers and fund managers. Special Notes Current certification as a Certified Government Investment Professional (CGIP) from the Government Investment Officers Association (GIOA) is equivalent to one year of work experience.
