Join us as a Senior Associate / Assistant Vice President / Vice President with the Barclays Investment Banking Division in Stockholm, Sweden. Barclays Investment Banking works on complex transactions, provide strategic and financial advise, as well as corporate finance solutions across e.g., mergers, acquisitions, structuring, and financing for corporations, financial sponsors, pension funds, and governments across all sectors in the region. The Nordic team is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, expectations and financial goals to deliver relevant investment banking solutions.
Responsibilities
Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends. Advise key stakeholders, including leadership teams and senior management.Synthesize financial and operating information about companies and industries. Producing client and marketing materials. In-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial standing and valuation. Lead day-to-day deal execution processes including project management, due diligence, and investor/buyer engagement.Effectively leverage firm resources and collaborate across teams and divisions to provide comprehensive solutions to clients. Proactive generation of ideas and identification of opportunities that expand the bank's client base and generate new business opportunities. Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought and in-depth analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions.To succeed in the role as an Investment Banker, you'll need:
Strong academic background (a minimum of bachelor’s degree)Strong relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalentExperience with buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing transactions Strong analytical background and experience with complex data setsStrong financial modeling skills and experience of building/developing operating modelsSolid work ethic, initiative, and integrityDemonstrated ability to work effectively with team members and leadership qualitiesExcellent English oral and written communication and presentation skillsFluent in Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish is beneficial, but not requiredYou may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
