What is the opportunity?
To join the Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Broking desk as an Associate. The role involves execution of ECM and a range of other transactions, ongoing coverage of corporate clients including preparing market, strategic and financial analysis, and origination of new transaction mandates and corporate brokerships.
What will you do?
Assisting in execution of mandated dealsAssisting in preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materialsUpdating corporate clients with market movements and peer newsGathering and analysing public information to derive actionable insights for clientsConducting financial analysis (including but not limited to valuation, shareholder, and comparable analysis)Drafting marketing documents for clients and assisting clients with investor relations strategyAssisting in origination of new transaction mandates and new corporate brokershipsGeneral research on clients and sectorsWork across sectors – this is a generalist roleWhat do you need to succeed?
Must have
University degree or equivalentStrong understanding of financial markets and the role equity markets play for corporatesExperience in transaction executionUnderstanding of public market investor landscapeWorking knowledge of UK Listing RulesSound judgement and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients at all levelsExcellent analytical skills with strong attention to detailStrong work ethic, entrepreneurial mindset and “can do” attitudeAdvanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPointInformation source experience: Bloomberg, Reuters, Capital IQ or FactsetNice to have
