Job Summary
As an Associate in our Corporate Finance Advisory group, you will be a key player in developing corporate finance content on key events impacting CEO, CFO and Board level decision making. You will work with senior bankers to develop this content which will span M&A, capital markets, macroeconomics and many other topics. These presentations may be developed over the course of weeks for long-term market trends, or in as little as 24 hours in the case of unexpected market events. The role will require identifying market trends, developing a framework for the impact to corporates, and identifying Investment Banking opportunities.
The role will also involve working directly with senior bankers and clients on corporate finance client materials and transactions on topics including capital allocation, capital structure and M&A structuring transactions, including separations.
Job Responsibilities
Creating client content on key issues and market developments impacting corporate decision making Working with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams Building and using complex financial models, completing analytical exercises, working with large data sets Supporting senior bankers in developing structured solutions for complex transactions Developing a subject matter expertise in corporate finance and structuring areas including capital structure, capital allocation, separations/spin-offs Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics Provide leadership, mentorship to analystsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3 years prior work experience: in an investment banking front office role in a relevant role at a top tier consulting firm producing financial content (reports, research etc.) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related major Strong financial modelling skills Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented. Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business. Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
