You will be aligned to a designated portfolio of Business, Functions or Horizontals to provide input, guidance, and risk management expertise across the Controls environment. This role acts as the point of coordination and syndication of all Control Services, ensuring consistency and quality delivery of the Controls Strategy, Control Frameworks, improvement initiatives and capabilities across the firm.
To be successful as a Investment Banking Risk and Control Manager VP, you should have experience with:
• The ability to influence at senior management and apply judgement to balance risk versus business interest whilst ensuring compliance to all relevant policies and standards
• Hands-on experience with aspects of Enterprise Risk management Framework (ERMF) and Operational Risk Framework (ORF)
• Experience of working in or within a Control type role / team with the ability to demonstrate a risk management mindset
• Experience working within investment banking, particularly with swaps, lending, and/or, capital markets
Other highly valued skills include:
• Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present credibly to senior stakeholders
• Highly experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives e.g. Barclays Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Legal
• Extensive working knowledge of operational risk & control processes and practices, specifically in regards to trading controls

Minimum Salary: $135,000.00
Maximum Salary: $210,000.00

Purpose of the role
To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.
Accountabilities
Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.Vice President Expectations
