Investment Banking Senior Associate - Financial Institutions Group (New York)
**Job Description** Responsibilities: Take responsibility for developing and delivering an important part of the organization's investment policy. Also responsible for maximizing the value of investments by managing an investment department or unit. Undertake strategic and tactical risk modeling and scenario planning for business-critical decisions to support business strategy and to identify and mitigate risk in line with the risk appetite. Advise on modeling of risk scenarios to comply with the risk appetite. Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols across the business to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice. Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these tenets and do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals. Manage a significant portion of the organization's financial management and/or control processes. Manage a significant operational area for the organization. Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives. Manage relationships with strategic internal clients and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and mobilizing appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans. Manage budget plans for a department. May involve development or delivery or both. Manage certain aspects of the internal communications system with some guidance from senior colleagues.
