Job Summary The Investments Intern position is a part of the Novant Asset Management Company’s Investments Team and supports efforts across the portfolio, including but not limited to: + Public Markets, e.g. Global Equities, Fixed Income, and Liquid Alternatives + Private Markets, e.g. Private Equity, Private Credit, and Private Real Assets + Investment Operations He/She researches and analyzes data to support the senior investments staff in making portfolio management and strategic planning decisions, along with supporting internal operations. The position is in-person in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities + Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy while remaining highly organized. + Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on investment strategies and perform portfolio attribution/factor analysis, portfolio risk decomposition and exposure management over time. + Construct and run financial models to adequately create, assess, and execute investment themes and individual managers from both a risk and return perspective. Qualifications + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Minimum Qualifications: + Working towards bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Economics, Finance, Business Administration; Mathematics, Engineering majors may also be considered. + Firm understanding of and interest in the financial markets and investment environment. + Solid communication and presentation skills. + Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word + Knowledge in statistical modeling, analytical and programming skills (Python) is a plus.
