Guggenheim is seeking an organized and detail-oriented candidate to join its Performance and Attribution Team. This person will be part of Guggenheim Investments middle office responsible for performance reporting processes for diverse portfolio strategies. They will also provide investment performance analysis and cross functional support to Portfolio Management, Marketing, Distribution as well as internal consultants and other business partners. This person will get exposure to a wide variety of asset classes including fixed income, equity, derivatives in public and private markets.

 

We seek a candidate who is very self-motivated and able to think critically to solve problems. The role requires a detailed individual who thrives in a deadline driven environment and is team-oriented and collaborative to deliver on work projects. Excellent communications skills are required as this candidate will be interacting with various departments and levels of management throughout the Firm.

 

The position is located in the Chicago office.

Essential Job Functions Provide investment performance reporting for clients, portfolio management, distribution, portfolio construction and other business partners across Guggenheim InvestmentsCalculate and compile investment performance and risk statistics required for consultants, Distribution, and client reportsReview all reports for reasonability. Become comfortable digging into security level returns and troubleshoot any large outliers, and explain the drivers of performance to portfolio managers and/or clients service representativesPrepare and analyze daily performance reports for portfolios containing diverse asset classes for senior management Work closely with other members of Operations to create efficiencies, improvements and resolve upstream issues associated with performance returnsReconcile data between the accounting and performance systems to ensure completenessRespond to internal/external ad hoc requests Preferred Qualifications Pursuing CFA and/or CIPM designation preferredSound understanding of fixed income securities desiredMiddle office or accounting/finance experience preferredAdvanced Excel skills requiredKnowledge of GIPS standards and procedures is a plusFamiliarity with FactSet, BI-SAM/B-One, or other performance measurement tools is a plusExcellent time management skillsAbility to operate in a deadline driven environment while still maintaining a strict attention to detail and ability to prioritize issues appropriatelyDemonstrate an ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvementMust be hands-on and be willing to roll up their sleeves to perform any and all responsibilities needed to ensure successFamiliarity with Python or other programming languages is a plus Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required3+ years of investment performance and/or investment accounting experience preferred Salary Details

Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.

 

Currently, this role is expected to be in the ­Chicago office at least 4 days per week.
