Investment Risk Analyst Job Family: Group Risk / Investment Risk How does this role contribute to our collective success? We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Investment Risk Analyst to join the Investment Risk team. In this role, you will assess, monitor, and mitigate the risks associated with AXIS’ investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk tolerance and financial objectives. You will collaborate with the Investments team, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to provide insights to drive informed investment decisions. What will you do in this role? Reporting and Analysis: + Prepare detailed risk reports for stakeholders, summarizing key risk metrics and trends. + Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate portfolio resilience under various market conditions. Data Management and Tools: + Maintain and enhance risk management systems, tools, and processes. + Work with datasets to extract meaningful insights and improve risk analysis methodologies. + Develop and maintain risk dashboards. Risk Assessment and Monitoring: + Analyze and assess the potential risks of investment portfolios, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks. + Develop risk models and utilize quantitative methods to evaluate risk exposure. + Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events that could impact investments. Collaboration and Communication: + Liaise with the Investments team and senior management to align risk objectives with investment strategies. + Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences. You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role. What you need to have: + Academic success in a technical field, such as Mathematics, Economics or Finance + Strong quantitative skills + Strong programming skills + Analytical thinking + Conscientiousness and strong work ethic + Desire to learn and develop + Ability to work to tight deadlines / prioritize / multi-task + Team orientation: Effective team member and willingness to collaborate across departments to achieve common goals. What we prefer you to have: + Knowledge of investment assets + Experience in programming + Experience working with SQL / databases Role Factors: In this role you will be required to embrace AXIS’ hybrid culture. You will typically be in the office 2-3 days per week. What we offer: For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $125,000 to $155,000 (NY). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.  In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
