Investment Specialist [MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Conduct quantitative analyses of information involving investment portfolios for ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients in Mexico. Run investment portfolio analysis and perform financial modeling in order to tailor and provide complex investment advice and solutions to UHNW clients in Mexico. Perform financial market data/analytics and prepare price quotes, comparing potential allocation strategies and generating multi-period projections based on complex market conditions including using Monte Carlo analysis. Using the Spanish language, independently conduct investment reviews with clients to validate the clients’ current investment objectives, and develop advanced recommendations for appropriate investment products, taking into account the specific needs of UHNW clients in Mexico that differ from the needs of institutional, mass affluent, or high net worth clients elsewhere. Independently write and deliver in Spanish investment policy statements, including targeted advice on asset allocation. Support sales efforts made by other investors. Use the Spanish language to assist bankers to win new clients, and strengthen existing client relationships. Adhere to internal and external policies and procedures regarding securities transactions and code of conduct. This position requires up to 25% domestic and international travel to various client sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Specialist, Business Developer, Asset Allocation Funds Analyst, Market Trader, Global Markets Sales, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Specialist, Business Developer, Asset Allocation Funds Analyst, Market Trader, Global Markets Sales, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills: creating presentations for clients using Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat PDF Pro; running portfolio analysis and financial modeling using Microsoft Excel; accessing economic news, financial market data/analytics, and price quotes using Thomson Reuters Eikon and Bloomberg Terminal; comparing potential allocation strategies and generating multi-period projections based on complex market conditions using Monte Carlo Simulation analysis; providing advice to Mexican clients given specific market and fiscal requirements; analyzing and providing advice around Mexican securities; and managing ultra-high net worth relationships. This position requires experience with the following asset class products: Global Equities; Taxable and Emerging Markets Fixed Income; Mutual Funds and Liquid Alternatives; and Structured Products (including Phoenix Notes, Buffered Return Enhanced Notes, Callable Enhanced Market Plus, Annual Review Notes, Credit Linked Notes, Reverse Convertibles, and Dual Directional Buffered Equity Notes); Private Equity; Hedge Funds; OTC Equity Derivatives; OTC Fixed Income and FX Derivatives; Mexican Equities; Mexican Fixed Income; and Mexican FX and rates derivatives. This position requires oral, auditory, and written fluency in the Spanish language.

Job Location: 390 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 25% domestic and international travel to various client sites. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time. Salary:  $176,571 - $280,000 per year.
