Completes a variety of routine clerical accounting duties and prepares routine investor reports and remittances or investor, Bank and general ledger reconciliations in compliance with investor guidelines or Bank policies.
Primary Responsibilities:Complete timely and accurate reporting or reconciliation of mortgage portfolio activity to various private and/or agency investors to mitigate financial and reputational risks in accordance with investor servicing agreements and guidelines.Gather and research data to prepare routine investor accounting reports including daily, weekly and/or monthly departmental reporting assignments, remittances or Bank reconciliations.Complete research to resolve reconciliation reporting discrepancies as needed.Communicate with internal cross-functional areas, business partners and investors to assist in resolution of routine to more complex inquiries and/or issues. Update procedures due to changes in process or investor requirements as required.Adhere to established policies, procedures and limits focusing on observable breaches in Corporate Risk policies.Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.Scope of Responsibilities:The position works independently under general supervision. This position interacts with internal Bank partners as well as third party investors, with support of the Group Leader.
Education and Experience Required:High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 3 years’ work experience

Knowledge of pertinent software products, including spreadsheet software
Education and Experience Preferred:Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge of the Bank’s servicing system
