An Accounts Payable Team Lead supervises direct reports in doing their AP tasks and ensure the team delivers work in an efficient manner and in accordance to set Service Level Agreements (SLA). They are responsible for and oversees month-end activities within AP, and ensure accurate and timely submission of all reports. They plan and prepare specific tasks, contingency plans and work schedules of employees ensuring coverage in key tasks of their team.
Your Role;
Review and generate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports and track team performance. Supervise the daily activities of support/service/operations teams. Tasks are characterized by low to medium complexity.May spend a portion of time performing the work supervised and provides direction to the team using extensive knowledge of established precedents and practices.Oversee month-end activities and ensure reports are done accurately and submitted timely.Support the AP team in their daily tasks through extensive background and experience working with SAP, Ariba and other ERP systems.Resolve escalated client complaints or queries and manages these to completion within turn-around time.Spearhead and/or actively play a major part in continuous improvement projects, performing special or ad hoc assignments that may be assigned.Capable in providing high quality reporting and advanced analytics to enable data driven decision makingAdvances discussions and builds consensus across the business and with external parties regarding own technical area.Leadership and Behavioral skills –able to conduct coaching, interview, strategic decision making and negotiation skillsTakes a broader perspective on issues, conflicts and problems as it relates to the team in order to help identify patterns and links that will help in planning and recurrence avoidance.Assist in the review, development and implementation of process improvements or amendments within key areasAble to explain complex or even difficult/sensitive information to others and interacts across business areas. May contribute to financial or resource planning or policy implementationDemonstrates excellent communication skills, applying effective verbal & written communication in English and local language.Customer oriented and very good understanding and satisfying the requirements of the customerStrong determination and self-motivation, impacts the effectiveness of own work team through quality and timeliness of services or information provided
Who You Are;
Has at least 4 years of experience in Accounts Payable functions with minimum of 2 years ofsupervisory experienceA graduate of Accounting, Business Administration or other neighboring business-relatedfields, or completed secondary education with substantial professional experience, whetherthrough training on the job or some formal qualification.Displays substantial relevant professional experience, and good knowledge and experiencein Accounts Payable, including underlying concepts and principles upon which the job isbased.Has developed breadth and (/or) depth of skills in a range of processes, procedures andsystems and able to provide subject matter guidance.Participated in and performed special/Adhoc tasks and projects, such as, but not limited toQA, process efficiency, automation, etc.Experience driving implementation of technological solutions by applying them such as ERPdeployments, Robotics projects, etcDemonstrates strong leadership and behavioral skills --such as coaching, interview, strategicdecision making, negotiation skills, etc.Proven experience effectively working with direct reports on career development and making a positive impact on team morale, sense of belonging and participationDemonstrates strong expertise and knowledge working with SAP, Oracle, Ariba or other ERP systemsAble to provide appropriate technical and inquiry support to internal customers or end users Has an experience working within a Shared Services Center or BPO environment is preferable
