This position can be based in Copenhagen, Denmark,  or Bangalore, India,  with up to 10% travel required outside of Denmark for business-related activities.

 

The Position

As an IO Data Platform Solution Delivery Manager, you will oversee the design, development, and optimization of data platforms that support commercial operations. You will lead a team of data engineers and platform specialists to ensure seamless data integration, governance, and performance, driving business impact through scalable data solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data platform solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, budgets, and timelines. Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and IT teams to define project scope and develop robust data strategies. Provide technical leadership to ensure best practices in data engineering, data integration, and platform management. Drive the adoption of modern technologies and methodologies to enhance performance, scalability, and security. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Partner with AI and analytics teams to enable seamless integration of machine learning and AI capabilities within data platforms. Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and mitigate risks associated with data platform solutions. Optimize resource allocation to support operational and strategic data initiatives across business domains.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data platforms, proven experience in solution delivery, and excellent people management skills.

 

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualifications:

Master’s degree in data science, computer science, information management, or a related field. 12+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years in data platform management and engineering leadership. Expertise in designing and delivering scalable data platform solutions in commercial business domains. Strong understanding of data integration, governance, and management in a regulated environment. Experience leading technical teams and optimizing production solutions. Familiarity with life sciences regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11). Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, AI integration, and modern data engineering frameworks.

As part of the broader Global Data & AI within DD&IT (Digital, Data and IT), the IO Data Platform team plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across International Opera-tions. We are responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data platforms that sup-port business intelligence, analytics, and AI-driven insights.
