For our Customer & Training Services department in Nordholz we are looking for an

IOS Instructor (m/f/d)

Main scope of this role is:

As IOS Instructor you operate and ensure maintenance of the Full Flight Simulator (FSS) and Flight Training Device (FTD) as well as associated devices and facilities. Main goal is to provide the full range in simulator scenario training for Flight Crew Members during all phases of Training (i.e. BQ, CR, CRE and Instructor Upgrades). Therefore you conduct practical training and augment Mission and Flight Crew Training Branch as required as well as theoretical training if needed.

Your tasks:

Operate the Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and associated systemsInstruct Students in basic system knowledge utilizing the Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs)Provide the Expertise to contribute for an effective and efficient use of the FSTDs capabilities and support military Instructors to achieve this goalInstruct basic system knowledge, normal and emergency procedure training. If aircraft capable to introduce air refueling too.Support in planning, guiding and execution of simulated training eventsSupport MSN SIM scenarios and support MSN SIM training as requiredSupport Distributed SIM TrainingProvide briefings and debriefings to traineesAssist in scheduling activities if and as required

Additional support inMaintaining and update all required technical publications and data provided by NATOSimulator scenario developmentUpdating and/ or creating relevant documentationFurther development of the training programProvide demonstration during visitsAssist/ test simulator operators capability tests or during associated eventsSupport classroom trainings & simulator instructionsSupport academic trainingAdminister written testsContribute to improvement of (participate in development of) training programmes and coursewareProvide/ track data for training events, training provided, student performance, general statistics

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Completed pilot training or air traffic controllerQualified military pilot or air traffic controllerMore than 3 years (or 500 hours) professional experience as a Pilot or controllerThorough working knowledge of aircraft pilot responsibilitiesAdditional qualification as Train the Trainer and CRM Trainer desirableKnowledge in C2 – Command & Control (i.e.)Experience in Training with students in a military environmentExperience in modern modeling and simulation technologiesAssure personal qualifications and requirements are kept up to dateSuccessful completion of annual Re-Qualifications/ Evaluations Fluency in English – German knowledge would be an advantageProblem solving and organizational skillsIntercultural competencesTeam player
