This posting is for a IP Finish Panel Commodity Integration buyer, a strategic supply chain position in the Interior Department. This role performs strategic sourcing, delivers cost/quality/delivery objectives, manages supplier relationships, and ensures that his/her operational counterparts have the necessary supplier program / cost information to accurately complete POs/TOs in iERP systems.

What you'll do...
Manage cost, quality, and delivery of commodity over program lifetime Support and co-drive w/STA all supplier Q1 and quality objectives Lead for commodity knowledge and market intelligence including cost, bill of process, etc. Lead cross-functional interface (primarily with Design Studio, PD, Cost Estimating) Lead the development and deployment of constraint mitigation actions to protect assembly plant production as a result of supplier constraints or catastrophic losses Understand and set cost savings goals annually to identify pure commercial leverage versus design efficiencies and end-to-end supply chain improvements Work with cross functional teams to understand latest supply base footprint, financial health ratings, technologies, and trends Analyze market supply/demand balances and deficit risks Align on sourcing to component and part requirements Conduct regular design reviews with engineering Sourcing execution lead (RFx event, tactical sourcing, contract administration, etc.) POV owner of program-specific sourcing decisions Implement sourcing strategy for category, delivering a balanced portfolio of material that meets Ford’s capacity, cost, timing, and ESG (Environmental , Social, Governance) needs Manage relationships with existing and future IP Finish Panel suppliers Understand industry and asset specific costs Work with suppliers to define integration opportunities within the supply chain Look at all existing processes and challenge if improvements could be made, regardless of scale Develop material cost roadmaps that deliver corporate objectives and ensure long-term viability Identify enablers to drive waste out of system/commodity
