DEKA Research & Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for an IP Law Intern to work in a dynamic R&D environment and be a part of a community that is creating innovative solutions that truly make a difference.

DEKA offers Internships and Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age).  Internships last a minimum of 10 weeks, 12 preferred. All summer internships must start no later than June 18, 2025.

How you will make an impact and an IP Law Intern:

Reviewing and Organizing Electronic Patent FilesCreating Structures to Correlate Patent FamiliesWorking with Database to Structure IDS FilingsPreparing Documents for Filing at the USPTOComplete Electronic Filings at the USPTOTrack and Organize Incoming Correspondence from Foreign AssociatesLegal Secretarial and Administrative Tasks as NeededTo be successful as an IP Law Intern, you will need the following skills and experience:Must complete 2nd year in an accredited a Juris Doctorate program, or equivalent, prior to starting internship. Must be Patent Bar eligible.Personal or professional experience with structuring and organizing information.Computer skills with word processing and data entry preferred.Must have strong written and verbal communication.Must have strong attention to detail.Must be able to be onsite 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday.Ability to work independently, establishing project milestones and reporting.Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, proactive approach to problem solving, reliable and outcome driven.
